The Best Mum I Can Be
I come home from work, and if I’ve had a terrible day, I have little patience, and sometimes I shout in the worst way. Does that mean I’m a bad mum? no certainly not. Does that stop the thought creeping in? No not a jot. I sometimes go to the toilet, just for some space. Sometimes when they talk to me, I’m not looking at their face. Does that mean I’m a bad mum? No certainly not. Does that stop the thought creeping in? No not a jot. I feed my children nuggets and beans for their tea, Is it a special treat? no I do it weekly Does that mean I’m a bad mum? No certainly not. Does that stop the thought creeping in? No not a jot. I wanted to be a mum who is loving, calm, patient and kind But yet I find myself shouting when lost things I can’t find. Does that mean I’m a bad mum? No certainly not. Does that stop the thought creeping in? No not a jot. I sometimes miss storytime because I’ve just had enough, Who knew being a mum could be this tough? Does that mean I’m a bad mum? no certainly not. Does that stop the thought creeping in? No not a jot. Will I ever not question am I the best mum I can be? No probably not, but that’s what makes the best mum me!
