The Rebellious Bones
We judge everybody with a blind eye hiding all despicable faults inside; the right-hand throws stones to break the rebellious bones! Brotherhood is the vision of the dreamers, many have died for its universal and grand ideals, and on their tombstones is clearly engraved the epithet of compassion for having been bold! More ages pass and peace is never achieved, and if they blame it on tyranny, they are crucified; and while the absolute power rests in the hands of the vile: all must breathe behind spiked fences! Freedom of the soul, freedom of the mind: are the useless cries of the masses that grind against each other to spark much distrust and rage; will they elect a president with an untarnished image? Cities and towns burn, their skies turn blacker than coal; lack of air suffocate the pale infants in draped, dusty cradles, but no mother is able to revive them by the dimming candles... while outside the rebellious bones, one by one, gallantly fall!
