The Crush
Hi Dave Hope you remember me from the dance the other day, that was truly neat of you to walk me home, dancing with you was nice, liked the music you asked to play. I never saw you before, but now in the halls you roam, and you are in some of my classes, I hope you like me, cause I really like you lots. I dream of you at night. And of our kiss, so romantic to kiss under that tree, Dave, I am sort of shy but I just had to write. I think we have stuff in common and I know your are a bit older, and I am just turned sixteen but I am not a kid, okay! Dave, I just cannot forget my head laying on your shoulder, what do you think about that? The feeling never goes away. It was sweet how you gave me your black leather coat, to wear on the walk home. In class I am writing this letter! I left it on your desk, maybe write back a short note, oh, yeah, I will soon get rid of my braces and will look better. Dave I was wondering if you want to go for a real date like why, not? What do you think? Say YES and that will be so great. Oh, Dave, please don't break my heart and make me cry . . . I think meeting was our ultimate destiny and our true fate!
