We have a priest who insists on incense; Always will want its use and never relents; Things creating; Is irritating, And of mercy we are seeking God's agent. Incense is very bothersome especially for us church members. It should cease. Oh horrors God may be sealing our doom; While in church incense started to loom, And by some, Were overcome; It would not be swept away with a broom. When we did look deeply into the dawn, Did die and back to heaven have gone; Read the list, Of many I missed, And then returned to be with Holy One. When like others you will want to feel, You do need to have nerves of steel; By priest impressed, We have confessed, And both together eat the same meal. Jesus loving shepherd I shall seek, Even though I worry and am weak; May struggle much; Want God's touch; My performance God insures its peak. While on earth God made me the best; Older you become is harder to digest; Stand in rain; From sin abstain; Now in a grave I have been laid to rest. My Almighty may be like an amaryllis; With love and beauty he will thrill us, Have fought, To learn a lot; With Him more things want to discuss. Jim Horn
