A Quiet Man
He was a good man, he was strong. He knew the difference between right and wrong. His quiet presence reassured, Rightly so, he was self assured. A hard worker, no job ever too small, a perfectionist, handling it all. He spoke when he had something to say. Quietly going about his duties of the day. He could be rigid in what he believed. It was his way, the right way, he perceived. He provided, his family an exceptional life. It weighed heavily, when there was strife. His faith was strong, a belief in God above. Words didn't come easy, I knew I was loved. Work was foremost, no time for play. Always busy until the end of the day. He was determined to see things through, If not to his liking, his eyes, ice cold blue. He kept his emotions hidden away, He was not comfortable with a display. He gave his life everything that he had , He was my hero, he was my dad.
