The Urban Shark In the Soup
Did you hear big fellas, there’s a shark in the soup? Come on over here and I’ll give you the scoop. Don’t waste your time on nonsense, just listen to this, she’s an urban shark stuck in Poetry Soup’s abyss. This news will surely throw you for a big loop. She apologized yesterday and wasn’t even greedy, then today she cried because death left her needy. No one understands why she is so up and down, one day happy as a lamb, next day wearing a frown. She is mania personified… O’ YES INDEEDY! Swimming around the tank, though teeth unlike a razor, she loves comments but at times they don’t phase her. Hook her in with bait of kindness, she’ll flip into your boat, then later that night go read just what she wrote. But…is her writing really good enough to praise her? The sad tales she tells makes her seem depressed, maybe too many youthful emotions repressed. From honeymoon to suicide; from birth until death, here and there, up and down…can’t catch a breath! I will say this, though, her love is very well expressed. I wonder if you are wondering who is this shark. She loves metaphors and similes; very deep and dark. Apparently, she doesn’t mind roasting herself royally, because guess what Poetry Soup, the crazy shark is me! Okay, gotta go now, time for my fin to make her mark. X.
