Christmas Pets
Three kittens looking so perky, Appealing eyes of slanted green, The cats cadge a serve of protein, As I eat my sandwich of turkey. Surrounding my chair so smirky, Their longing looks soon seen, I throw meat from the tureen, On an impulse quite quirky! Three kittens looking so perky, Appealing eyes of slanted green, The cats cadge a serve of protein, As I eat my sandwich of turkey. Satisfied purrs rise over jerky, Pleased with what they glean The kitties lick the plate clean; Then sleep noon till eve murky. Three kittens looking so perky, Appealing eyes of slanted green, The cats cadge a serve of protein, As I eat my sandwich of turkey. Written for Christmas Pets sponsored by Dear Heart 28/12/2018 (This was a real incident, after Christmas, eating left-overs)
