Proud Star of Bethlehem
PROUD STAR OF BETHLEHEM The Christ Child was born in a stable bare Among all the animals gathered there The donkey, the cow, the dove, the sheep Watched in silence as He lay asleep But up in the Heavens, a star shone bright And to the earth it gave great light Shepherds on the hillside tending their flock Fell to the ground filled with shock The sky was filled with Angels giving praise To the God of Heaven for His marvelous ways All the sights and sounds were great to behold The greatest miracle on earth was about to unfold Still shining brightly, bringing light to the world Was the Star of Bethlehem, it's splendor unfurled If I could have been there for the world to see That Bethlehem Star would have been me 25 December 2018 For the contest sponsored by Kim Rodrigues
