Rainbow Children of Light
After every dark downpour, the tears of heaven makes the sky brighter But many still only blindly see through the prism of pain So sadly, they continue to have dreary thoughts soaked in perpetual rain Suffering through the constant hurt, the rejection and the shame Always mired in a burdensome trail of troubles, their wet eyes gaze wearily towards a watery grave ... filled from an empty life In a raging sea of tribulation, they drown their sorrows with fermented things, letting perverse pondering corrupt their anguished thinking But the downtrodden ones ... the wasting away souls; those who by faith peer through the Ark window, they know there is saving hope in the rainbow With moist praying eyes, they chose to let the tormenting past go They bowed down in baptismal grace, and allowed God to let the coffin lid mercifully close Their woes were lifted from their heavy eyes, No longer do they see through a prism prison of pulmonary pain Arising free from every bad memory of hurtful deeds ... done to them or to another They receive peaceful rest, and no longer suffer Rainbow seeds planted in the torrential night Awaken twinkling eyes ... sunflower souls changed into children of light Transfigured hearts of blossoming dead petals, firmament rainbow tears have clean washed away cloudy scarlet shadows
