The Forest Chasing Gump
I’m running over other ones to mine. My thoughts my father taught. How black to white is harvest to wheat. How an out of line woman is kept. How I should act polite in their company kept. Dad bought a beater for me at seventeen. He’s never wrong. I love this truck more than life. I teeter with what makes it run. Keeps it going strong for what I play with friends on dusty roads on a dry summer day here in Greenbow. We shoot our pellet guns at horny toads. We chase the retard ‘round – all just to show. See what happens when born to be different? He’s running now. Far. Further, you’re present. Date: 12/17/2018 Submitted for: Movie Magic Sponsored by: Gregory Barden Character Role: The unnamed driver of the truck that chased Forrest Gump out of his iron clad legs into the future. He had no lines in the movie with which to explain why he did.
