To Journey
Oh, to ride the universal catamaran into those deep and darkest sighs. To see the Creator in His glory stand, not needing to see Him with these eyes. To soar above the absolute in faith, to be blinded by the truth that is real. Caught up in a madding swirl of hope, blessed by His ancient and holy seal. To hold my hand out to Him in all trust and feel Him steady me as planets whirl, lifted above the ordinary mortality to a place where holy streamers gaily twirl. Oh, to go to a place where fear lives not, where lies are an unknown, forbidden. All the soil of the soil of the soul washed clean; no more ugly secrets deeply hidden. To feel these bones that weigh me down disintegrate and become needed no more. Pain of heart and mind will melt fast away, my soul He will cleanse, mend and restore. I have packed my suitcase, it waits by the door, packed with all my sins and fears, that I may present them to Him on the throne. To blinded with ecstasy, shedding grateful tears.
