Keep Your Memories
At first my sweet Girl tried to hide it Pretend to me that he did not exist But his influence on her was heavy A tease so strong she couldn’t resist And as our lifelong magic faded His hold just grew more intense God knows I pleaded and objected But my very best was no defense He had a dark, irresistible whisper And a strong pull that he called fate I protested.. Dude, she’s taken! He smiled and said, I’m not too late But she promised never to leave me This girl and me we’re true soulmates He said I’ll let you keep your memories But she’s now mine.. and I can’t wait Completely shocked and overcome Can’t speak a word or even breathe He stole my girl and all my future Flirtatious lies... she finally believed Oh what a villain.. yet so compelling He promised peace to set her free And as she sipped his blinding poison She lost all hope of what could be Her last words to me weren’t spoken Her choice.. in writing, now was clear Heartbroken.. Love’s dreams defeated I begged no... but Death was here! ~Lyric Man Note: This is a tragic story of Death stealing a perfect love. First he took the child. Then the mind of the child’s mother and eventually he took her heart.. leaving this Boy so lost. Can’t breathe.. drowning in the memories!
