Pixie Poodle Goes Bump Bump
. At work time Pixie bump, bumps my leg, Always causing it to buckle, Grabs a pant leg till "mommy" says, "Food", which always brings us a chuckle! I come home and she's at the door, so slowly backing out of my sight, then she jumps out and barks real loud, so sure she will give me a fright! She bump, bumps on her toy basket, grabs one, then another instead, looking up with it, in her mouth, as if to say, "It's time for bed!" Then she'll look down at the floor. She is telling us, "I need to go!" A demand not, to be ignored, it's clear who is running the show! Settling snuggly between us, while we watch television, she drifts off to sleep and hogs the bed with a princess type precision. She fills our heart, and gives us ease, showing us a love, without facade. With something, so sweet in the world we're reassured, there is a God! 12/3/2018 For shape poetry poem contest by Eve Roper
