Some Kind of Lonely
Sixty years of them holding hands Found a, battle hardened tough old man Sitting, at a table all alone He swore some days he still could see His, highschool love turned memory Smiling back at her old Romeo He never thought this day would come Hoped, everyday this dream was done It's so hard, he never could believe All he knew, was without her that he..... Was some kind of lonely When that house full of laughter And, happy ever after come to an end..... When those dreams turn to memories And pictures are as close as you can get..... That's when you'll know the sorrow That, time is only borrowed Chances are, you'll drop down to your knees When you have, to taste reality..... That's some kind of lonely Had a friend who had lost his dad His, only dog then things went bad Thought the bottle, had become his only friend Found the sadness was too damn strong Wish I'd, known when things all went wrong Maybe I, could've helped him see the light I guess we have to face the fact That, once they're gone they ain't coming back And reality, can make one guarantee They may not, wear their heart upon their sleeve But they're some kind of lonely When that house full of laughter And, happy ever after come to an end..... When those dreams turn to memories And pictures are as close as you can get..... That's when you'll know the sorrow That, time is only borrowed Chances are, you'll drop down to your knees When you have, to taste reality..... That's some kind of lonely When you have to taste reality That's some kind of lonely
