Do You Know My Name
You know my name but do you know me, I live in the mind of many you see, Hidden behind a series of masks, I make everything difficult simplest of tasks, I make it hard to get out of bed some days impossible, The tears you cry are not optional, I pick at you until you’re to weak to stand, make you feel ashamed so you won’t ask for a hand, Make you think something is wrong with you, Criticize everything little thing you do, Make you feel like you’re never good enough, With me around life will be rough, Figure out my name yet, If not don’t fret, I’ll be revealed before you realize, It won’t come as much as a surprise, That feeling of overwhelming sadness, The millions of thoughts is pure madness, Do you feel that knot in throat all that pressure, Do you know who I am a feeling a state of mind , depression.
