Midnight Hotwiring
Walking home one night, I saw my dream car in front of me, a red Mustang beauty begging me to ride, no one else around, I hotwired it with pride. We peeled off in the joyride of the century, at a top speed of 95 turning those corners and making those hills with the power of a jet, I am an ace pilot who maneuvers without sweat. Looking in the rearview mirror I saw the lights, red and blue chasing my horse's tail too close, me and my Mustng would show the fuzz that he can't catch us no matter what he does. My fast pony started to sputter down the road, its gas tank read the big 'E' for empty and died, in a panic I ran into a field meeting a bull, it wasn't the kind wearing a uniform in wool. Chasing me quickly as I jumped over a fence, I heard some laughter in the pitch black as I landed I looked up at a smiling cop, reading my Miranda Rights at a drop. The lesson I learned years ago not to steal something red and shiny and runs too fast, spending some time in the county jail, where stripes follow you around without fail.
