Life of a Squirrel
Every day I run really fast…. From the lovely green grass, To the biggest oak tree. Happy just like a two year old child…. With my bushy tail behind me. I’m sneaky and I’m adorable! Why would you want to shoot at me or hunt me? That’s downright deplorable! I’m not your average housecat, I’m not the dog who’s mean. I’m the little friend who laughs and chuckles, Moving as if I’ve consumed caffeine. I’m the fluffy and curious one, I don’t stand there for long. I’m not some plain old chipmunk. Don’t call me that! It’s wrong!!! I’m one of God’s greatest creations. Leave it up to me, and I’ll run all around this nation. The life I live is fun and carefree, No one can tell me otherwise. So, don’t you even try. Life is good when you’re in my shoes. I live like there’s nothing to lose. Well, I’ve had my fun sharing with you this rhyme. I must run into my tree now, it is time. Don’t be sad. I’ll come back down, And place a smile on your face and erase your frown. So, please excuse me, as I leave with no hesitation. It’s getting cold out here. It’s time for hibernation!!
