Taketh Me Away
I used to feel so warm next to you, As I await my peaceful sleep to come. I would lay my head on your chest, Cause I knew that’s where your love came from. I’d tell you I love you, I’d pull you closer to me… Cause with you and only you, Is where I wanted to be. But then things started to change…. I began to feel strange…. My world began to rearrange. Instead of being next to you, I began to pull away. You’d ask me “what’s wrong?” You’d ask me “are you okay?” But all I did was pull away from you, Because you don’t understand… You’ll never understand. I then started to think to myself… Where does this all end? I started thinking…. Where is your love for me, the love you’d always send? I then started thinking about my soul, Because there is nothing left to live for. I would then see the gates of Heaven, And became eager to walk in and see more. I would watch the world, through and through…. And want nothing more to do with it, or you. So I closed my eyes, I then began to pray…. Silently speaking five words…. “Lord, please take me away.”
