You Made Me
I wear a face over the mask that covers The me you’ll never know I wear a smile on top of that face So the real me will never show I stay hidden behind the presentation of my name No matter where I go or what I do I can never erase the pain.. And you... You would call me a bad man.. But I’m a sad man.. And you should understand you and I are just the same... There’s no reason to me For you to be, pointing the finger of blame Right at my chest I have already become the reason And I went thru the season Of feeling sorrow and depressed And I’m still feeling the feelings And I’m still dealing With the stress of all that mess... And you... You would call me a bad man But I’m a mad man So even if you don’t understand You and I are just the same... I’m tossing and turning at night I can’t seem to sleep These memories become my dreams And I wake up screaming Was I even dreaming These nightmares are way too deep... And you... You would call me a bad man But I’m a mad man And a sad man And you and I are just the same... Been working my job so hard But I’m still on guard Hiding these scars upon my soul And I can’t tell now if it’s the weather or me But all I feel sometimes is cold So I stay covered up Is it ever enough- For me to get thru this And I stay to myself Because by myself seems to be All there ever is to this... And You... You made me the bad man And made me the mad man And made me the sad man And what you don’t understand Is that inside we’re not the same...
