My Crimson Umbrella Washed Away My Disarray
I was standing beneath a crimson umbrella last night. The harvest moon shined, and the stars gleamed bright. For there was the sound of pitter-patter on the ground, the indigo of the eventide was a phenomenal sight. O, mother nature…your raining beauty is profound. I forgot about the day’s heartache and my deep regret. Instead I reminisced on things I ached to never forget. Like that night in ‘08 we needed more than an umbrella, the rain cascaded and washed away our Summer sweat. I can still see the dancing of my astonishing daughter Ella. The clouds whirled in without warning nor foreboding. It was like the drumming thunder began exploding. I could see the grey in the sky, yet there was pulchritude, it poured so hard all around me debris was floating. I share splendor with nature and drown in gratitude. So here I still stand under this umbrella of crimson. Soon the sun shall shine like our Savior has risen. I shall put it away for another exciting stormy day, and yes, that falling rain I will gaze at and listen. Thank you, God, for the disarray the rain washed away.
