List of Tributes To Veterans
TO: My fellow Veterans and all my fellow Soupers Listed below are the titles to poems I have written over the years that pay tribute to the men and women who answered the call to keep America forever the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave! Having served more than twenty years in the Air Force, and seen war up close and personal in Vietnam, I feel a strong bond to those who served before me and who are serving now. I hope you will be able to "see" the men and women honored in these poems. Some of them gave the ultimate sacrifice so you and I can live in freedom in the greatest country on earth. Some of these people walk the halls of VA Medical Centers across America and though they are "home" physically, they are still imprisoned by their mind never to come home again. We owe the Veterans, both living and dead, our freedom. And let's not forget the Homeless, the Widows and Orphans, those who are permanently Disabled, and the POW-MIA and their families The poems are: Our Flag I Am The Veteran POW-MIA Widows and Orphans of War The Disabled Vet America's Homeless Grave Mistreatment The Cardboard Man Freedom DC American Splendor - this speaks of the beauty of America from coast to coast Should you choose to read any or all of these poems you may also wish to offer God a prayer of thanksgiving for our military men and women and for this great Nation called America.
