Do You Remember
Twenty years on and she still remembers. The pain still fresh in her mind. That love that seemed sweet. Something that made her blind. A call in the evening, was when she heard. A plea for him to claim his son That's when she got the word. Now she knew he wasn't the one. Lies and denials left his lips Betrayal at it's best This wasn't worth fighting for anymore. Unfortunately this was no test. Excuses no more, she up and left She was done. No longer involved. Her heart could take it no longer. Wasn't something that could be resolved. Tell your friends that you're to blame, You should explain Things would never be the same Alhough she never did complain. Twenty years, now he's back Although she isn't mad Second chance, no to that. Remembering just makes her sad. Do you remember, What you meant to her? What you were to her? Because she still does.
