To the Color of the Ocean
to the color of the ocean, true to your nature, you have surrounded me. it’s so hard to stop thinking about what lies inside you, what’s lurking beneath the surface. but something tells me i already know. you are more than the one worded name you have been given, like person, like lover. like there are no barriers within you, like everything inside has free reign, like freedom. i think, in a way, you’ve given me mine. more than ever, i am cascading waterfalls that keep going down, that never find a place to stop, but always have a place to call home. you are home for many, for all those that pass through you, unafraid and yielding. with open arms that are as gentle and malevolent as the tide, you take shape. by any other name, you would still be loving. by any other name, you would still be you.
