My Brother -In a Heartbeat
He met his death alone and instantly one winter’s night, the blackest of the black. Were there the slightest possibility, my brother - in a heartbeat- I’d bring back. His accidental death, a tragedy, would leave in all our hearts a giant crack. If there were but one soul that I could see, my brother -in a heartbeat- I’d bring back. So brilliant, sweet, and still so young was he. No matter what he tried, he’d have the knack! What waste of life! If only it could be, my brother -in a heartbeat- I’d bring back. “Dale, take a break from your eternity,” I’d shout to Heaven, “and don't even pack!” If God would grant one miracle to me, my brother -in a heartbeat- I’d bring back.
