Why, life, though it remains, rough and tough Though it remains a suffering, a burden, Imposing upon us, a heavy cross which we shoulder, As we tread on our way, with limits and conditions Tied to our ankles, Why, life, remains that opportunity For us to provide the Gods with the certainty That goodness inhabits us and that our place Is not here but among them, Enjoying the most blissful of existences imbibed With the ecstatic melodies of eternal youth and beauty! Life is as it is, it comes to be through mystery, As yet to be demistified and it ends, in ways Which remain out of our control!
