My old folks say they’re set in their ways, Or that it won’t last long, it’s just a phase. I try to ignore this old mentality, But it’s not as easy in reality. You fail to see how it gets me down, When you don’t respect my gender pronoun. If you made an effort to get it right, That really would be half the fight.
