Only Sadness
There are times that sadness is the only emotion that I feel. And it doesn't matter what I do, I can't find a way to heal. I don't talk much about it, friends may be tired of hearing my woes. But it is with me everyday, you probably know how the story goes. Advice includes, "get on with your life" , and I get it, I really do. But setting your mind on something doesn't make it come true. It isn't that I am depressed, there is a difference between the two. Depression is more a overall issue, sadness from events affecting you. It is the loss of what was, and for the loss of what was to be. Losing the beliefs that were part of who I was, devastated me. A lifetime spent with those I loved, what more could I ask for? It was a chain reaction, one part of my life came apart, then one more. My life was forever changed, It has happened to many that I have known. The way that I make sense of it has to come from me, it has to be my own.
