Few Leaves
Few Leaves By Franklin Price 9/22/2018 Few leaves have changed their greenish hue Today's the first of Fall The daytime heat's still Summer like Winter clothes are at the mall The days have gotten shorter Darkness sooner in the field Harvest time has come again Filling silos with the yield Days of Summer now are gone Pumpkins soon for Halloween Ghosts and goblins in the streets For the trick or treating scene God brings autumn colors Orange, red and yellow to the scene A short time of great beauty To replace the Summer green Colors only for a short time Then they're falling to the ground Revealing barren branches On the hardwood trees around Won't be long before it's Winter Gone the vestiges of Fall And another season of our lives Hope that you enjoy it all
