What Did We Do To the World
I'm trying to get my head wrapped Around the horrible fact My eyes are really seeing how It all slipped away somehow Every time I take a look At this world my heart's more shook Noticing love fading away Replaced with hatred everyday A helping hand no one is lending It's a message not worth sending To the human race who is Responsible for all of this Our hearts used to beat as one We could find and overcome Any horrible disaster We were heroes that were faster Than the pain and hurtfullness We would bury all this mess Now nobody wants to care Hurt and sorrow's everywhere Because the love in our hearts Are hiding in pure evil dark With no light shining bright To destroy this horrid sight That is here until we can Become a family once again
