Playing With Words Under Fire
My love for words creates mental pain... they play hide and seek in my smoldering brain. I sit here dreaming, pen waiting in hand; mind burning, aglow with ideas so grand. To be very frank, the two will not meet, the paper is blank my head's still in heat. What comes to mind has been said before, and so what is left to unfold and explore about love, or nature, of my peace of mind? God above, of self, the woes of mankind? Of life and death, or war, or of peace? These poetic themes- need a new release! Yet still, all is here in my fired up brain seeking a crack to relieve the pain, brewing and raging new words to find... metaphor, imagery, and meter combined. Burst open, you seed! Expose yourself bare so I can soon grasp the words to prepare to bring forth my poem with creative light and offer a gift from this struggle and plight!
