The Me No One Is Supposed To Know
An idea given to me by Nina P Is no one knows the other me. I wracked my brain. I drank herbal tea. We mediated, my dog and me. A me unknown by people I have not met. My mind thought deep, and hard, and yet… This other me, this hidden vet, Is surely known by at least my pet. The other me, the one I hide. The one crawling way down deep inside, Has surely exposed herself in fun. We have been married since seventy-one. I am afraid I have turned her out. Danced her twist, and let her shout. The other me has been exposed. On paper and canvas, she fairly glows. The other me that I never kept inside. Whistles and whoops, never wanting to hide. The other me, out for the world to poke, Has to laugh at herself, her happiest joke. The other me, cannot truthfully hide. She is actually several me’s, some nasty, one snide. So to this I say, to my friend Nina P. Here I am, take all of me.
