Friday Night
Friday Night Friday evening with pups lying on the sofa warm and soft laying deep asleep tongues pink, nose wet, gentle sighs downward dog next to me like pure yoga TV glows as uniformed Seal team walks through streets of dirt and death as actors carry large assualt weapons amid the noise of guns and screams Both dogs wake up with a wide yawn eyes focused on me curious about the sounds one goes back to sleep the other listens then closes her eyes, all worries gone Tonight runs Seals, SUV, Salvation the dogs change positions once again as serial killers take over the screen though my dogs gaze at me at ease and their eyes close to sleep soundly again. Those quick looks at me through the screams and guns last a moment for I am their devoted guardian I will always come to their rescue in the midst of the worse mayhem
