Missing Syndrome
START My tongue keeps searching the tooth extracted of late Misses it, ignoring the remaining teeth in a healthy state My eyes focus on the broken tile near the door But misses seeing the good tiles all over the floor I miss the guidance of a departed friend Despite the help other friends extend I miss the beautiful house I left behind And keep exploring distant places in my mind I am good in singing and dancing jazz But miss the talent in maths my friend has I love to talk and participate in debate But miss being in politics to enhance my fate We always mess with what we miss And end up destroying our own bliss We fail to identify what we want And always in search of what we can’t The solution is exploit your own talent Without scrutinizing others and lament Now, the only thing missing will be the pain Of the ‘missing syndrome’ again.
