My Dear Old Shirt
My dear poor old rust stained torn shirt Two-year-old white faded darling I hardly loved you, my mere chance I can't let you lose, you're my prove Of how much and how less I was You warmed me when I was alone We've seen the moon and all the stars You might tell me their exact count We've played with rain and tears whole year Maybe you can sense the rain cloud We've waited the train, text and love You can tell me how I look when I was happy, sad or ignored You've heard the jokes and giggles You've known where I hid to dry sad Dear skin, closest love, don't tell them How I break down, they'll contempt me And make me unworthy of you You- who've waited without anger The pretending baffling of Smile You have the dare to show all stain Facing the heaven and sunlight You, me, were tricked because of me I'm sorry for that, I really am Let's keep this a secret, shall we I'll hang you tidy, wash less too But remember to keep my shame They'll make you unworthy, won't they My dear poor old rust stained torn shirt Do me this favor, be my friend.
