Congratulations Graduate
CONGRATULATIONS, GRADUATE! Congratulations, graduate! You made it here today! You worked and studied very hard, and came a long, long way. And now you face a brand new world, not knowing what’s in store, But I’m so glad to know today you chose to serve the Lord! You’re going many miles away, your family leave behind, And friends you’ve made you’ll leave at home, some other ones to find. The college years you face ahead will challenge you, I know, But if you keep your faith in God, He’ll help you as you go. Just read His holy word each day and talk to Him in prayer And listen to the things at school that they will tell you there. Remember, too, that just because it is a Christian school, You just might find some people there who do not keep the rules. You keep your body and your mind in tune with God’s great plan, And He will let you know His will and help you with your stand. When you come home I’m sure we’ll see how greatly you matured, For what you learn from Him down there will make your life more pure. I’m proud of you dear graduate, for staying through these years, Not dropping out, but studying hard, through all the toil and tears. Now as you go to a new place, to study there once more, I pray you’ll do as well ahead for what may be in store. Congratulations, graduate! You’ve made it here today! Be sure that those you leave behind for you will always pray! --Dedicated to Katie Radcliff, but suitable for any high school graduate going on to a Christian college
