Where Is the Glory?
I watched as he struggled to the top of the hill, He just wanted to see how that feeling would feel. As he stood there looking down, realizing just what this effort took, Instead of feeling proud he said I felt dirty, like some cheap crook. For he had to climb over others that were in his way, He had used them as a rung to climb higher each day. And when he reached the top he realized he was all alone, He had become bitter and cold as stone. He felt like his soul had been poisoned, all alone and afraid, He fell to his knees and turned the Lord and head bowed he prayed. Father, he said this is not where I belong this is not the place for me, I was so foolish and blind, Father please help me to see. Well his life changed that very day, but he stayed on top of that hill, Reaching down to help others, oh, what a great deal. He still sits on top of that hill but he sits there not alone, He sits beside our Savior the greatest love this world has ever known. I guess if I were going to give a moral to this story, It would be no matter where you are in life without God where is the Glory?
