Winging It
I gotta start something new, a new chapter, leave behind the old, I’m tired, worn out, I’m feeling like Ive been left out in the cold, I don’t have a plan, this time I’m gonna wing it, throw it out and sling it, see who will understand, who will even care, that I’m losing grip and slipping, I’m tired of falling down and tripping, being torn apart, and feeling like my seams are always ripping, so I’m leaving for a while, no one will miss me, no one will notice that I’m gone, no one will say good bye, when I start moving on, but it really doesn't matter, it’s time to switch the batter, let em take a swing, move me to the second string, Ive hit a few, and you can bet Ive missed some too, but Ive always done the best, that i could do, and now it’s time for something new, I’ll go see whats waiting for me, down the road a mile or two, I’ll just keep looking until I find, a little peace of mind, and a part of me that’s stayed true, and I’ll rest my weary bones, somewhere underneath a big old sky, filled with deeper shades of blue.
