The Thousand Mile Stare
How can you prejudge someone with Post Traumatic stress? They're a lot more compassionate than you can guess. Plagued by constant images from their past. Branded by the ignorant, as an outcast. How can they feel sane when they've seen so much madness? How can they smile when they've known only sadness? Have you noticed the Thousand Mile Stare? Why should they open up to a world that doesn't care? How can they cry when they're supposed to be strong? How can they prove they're alright in a reality gone wrong? It is hard to live when they've seen so much death? To fight a battle within until they're last breath. Are you willing to go beyond the lies? Are you afraid to see the truth through their eyes? Have you ever been paralyzed with fear? Who is the real monster here?
