The Experiment
I woke up this morning Determined to make a change I took a good look in the mirror And saw exactly where to start I decided to do a little experiment Based on something very simple I decided to make a conscious effort To smile all day long At first it was just like every time before Putting on a mask for the world As I went through my day I noticed things I haven’t seen before People were smiling back at me And it made my smile grow Such a simple little gesture That makes all the difference in the world I have to admit that my face hurts a little I need to work those muscles more I’m determined to keep this experiment going To turn the effort into a habit Smiles are actually contagious And I want to infect everyone *words I wrote last night before I fell asleep
