It's Summer Time
It's Summer time and I'm feelin' fine, As the breeze ruffles my hair. The sun beams down, turns my skin dark brown, And I smile, I haven't a care. The birds, the bees, the flowers, the trees, And weddings in June and July. Young things at play in the grass all day, And little birds learning to fly. Down on my knees in the garden I'm pleased, As everything blossoms and blooms. I look all around me as far as I can see, The fields and flowers and dunes. Along the coast birds dive and they coast, As swimmers take to the shore. Winter is past and now at last, There's something to leave the house for. The Summer sun's hot and believe it or not, A good thing can turn on a dime, If you don't take the notion to put on some lotion, Because now it's Summer time.
