A Letter To My Best Friend
A LETTER TO MY BEST FRIEND When I first moved here I was totally excited, Finally we were going to be in same town again, After years of being apart and our friendship being distant, Fate had done us justice, I thought. And as luck would have we landed a job in the same company, And it was fun and amazing and everything I had thought, Am not denying that we had the small fights but we resolved them, Life was great 'coz for once things were going how I wanted. Then somewhere along the way things started falling apart, We no longer had the same ideals in life, the same thoughts, So I thought to myself that it's what happens to friends, We'll get back on track, I was optimistic. But instead you started blaming me for everything wrong that happened, You forgot so soon how I had your back 'coz you were like a sister, You became distant and stopped sharing whatever happened in your life, I became a villain, even though I still lied for you, loved you and never broke the sister code. I took it all in, the emotional tussle became too much, I didn't break down 'coz well be both know I don't, But it sucked to lose you because after all this year's I never thought you'd leave me for another, Or that you'd break our code. I guess that's what happens after a while, I'll miss you though, maybe moving is best thing, For both of us. Charity Khanyelei
