To Live
To Live ———— Why do we not live? How many changes and chances does one’s life give? Our own mistakes are just that, of time wasted in fact, are the ways and days we strive to understand, the original plan we all had, have, should have had, make up goals and unkept promises to ourselves sad. I have no more thoughts on things, on wedding rings, on happy dreams, our past times seems, for today was just yesterday to me. I shed no tears, for the stripped away years are water enough to see. I, like all the best, just move on doing without sleep, needing rest. But when I wake, I can’t seem to shake, the feelings for you that do not heal or clear. A year is just a year, but most time wasted on fear, never seems to be near, only distantly and constantly how the clock ticks, then tocks, then ticks for you, my dear.
