My Mortal Muse My Wife
To my love of nigh four decades of bliss, I can't take you with me you've life to live, live it, let love be your guide, be remiss! So sorry if I hurt you, please forgive. Be remiss, be naughty, but make it fun! Remember, my body, donate it, please, to the Lincoln University, Hon. Forget, and I'll be back to haunt and tease! Remember me, my love for you, my wife! My legacy, my words of poetry. Remember all the good times of our life, My death, momentary felt misery. My muse you were but now you're free, I'm gone. You can still talk to me, ponder me do! My soul, it will forever linger on, waiting, knowing one day again, me, you! _______________________ Rhyme wrote in iambic pentameter.
