"THIS" “I fell in love with you, you’re very charming Eddie but I didn’t know you’d be this much of a handful.” that’s what they said but I never once heard it from their mouths. I guess I could ask them all why anyone in their right mind would love an old toad like me. I’d answer simply: “they’re in their right mind, that’s why they love me.” all I asked for was a female who could keep up with me. was it selfish? possibly. was it mean? it could be. has it always been the right desire? indubitably! everything at some point has to show you there is reason for the madness. I say that but like the two gnats circling my face over my typewriter, every female bothers me. to those young men who envy me, don’t. if you must, you can keep all of them. thanks but, no thanks. after the headaches, after the talking of a lot of fly food, you’ll return them too. they all returned me but I remain free. they became someone else’s problem and no longer a headache for me.
