I acted right away. You were more than a pet, our family you made whole. Always by our sides when we needed you, you had the prettiest little soul. I called the vet after your surgery, anxious to hear you're well. But what I didn't expect, introduced me to a private Hell. A voice came on the phone, sadness in her tone. She informed me that you had passed, I would be heading home alone. The sadness is unbearable. I can't stand the pain. You got me through my darkest days. Things will never be the same. They came to bury you..put you gently to rest. It was so hard to let you go, for two hours I held you to my chest. Then the moment came, it was time to let go. It took everything I had to hand you over..only because I loved you so. Please watch over me, as I'm yielding to heart break in defeat. Just always remember, there's always a spot for you by my feet.
