Starting Over
At one time my life seemed better than I could ever dream. Fate then decided to pay me a call It designed a very clever scheme, that brought me to my knees, that wasn't all. All at once I looked around, and found so much was gone Something that couldn't possibly be true. My life ended, yet I continued to live on. In utter bewilderment, I struggled to know what to do. Nothing was left, my future appeared to be gone too. But I had to quickly set something in motion. I had to regroup, and sadly start life anew But how to do it with lack of any emotion? But I did, little by little, I moved along from what was my original place. Trying to find a way to belong, and to fit into a brand new space. The process has been slow, the years have come and gone. I make mistakes, I sometimes go the wrong way. I try to memorize the right words as I would a song, And learn life's roles as if they were acts from a play. But what I now know, though it has taken awhile. Time that I did not want or need to loose Was to live my own ideal of what is a lifestyle, and to be true to myself however and whatever I choose.
