Precious Death Toward Eternity
“Precious in God’s sight is the death of His saints.” The Bible says it with truth-might that never faints Such assertion guards my soul from harm of doubt-taints… Why should I fear death, pictured in beautiful paints? In the midst of life, readiness for death whispers… Calling for attention while existence prospers; Faith in the Savior seals my eternal papers Will I resist when carried by angel-reapers? Life then must be optimized meaningfully well… The Lord’s grace quenches thirst in the deathbed of hell; With trust in God’s assurance as grand music bell What hinders me to witness, and His Gospel tell? Living fully for God along others’ good gain Is now preparing me from death’s selfish stain With love smiting melancholy of hatred’s pain… Where is the sting of death* against the Lord’s reign? *1Corinthians 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
