World Seemed So Forsaken
World Seemed So Forsaken At her new grave he knelt to pray, words he had failed to say. How she meant love and joy in life before she was his wife. Now that dark shadow had taken, world seemed so forsaken. Tears fell as he whispered sad words, Spring came but no song birds. He knew she heard but could not speak once strong, now he was weak. Now that dark shadow had taken, world seemed so forsaken. At last, he went into a trance recalling their romance. Rain fell yet he cared not at all she was gone, let it fall. Now that dark shadow had taken, world seemed so forsaken. Sun came out, he knew twas her smile, he'd see her in a while. Pills he took, had taken effect soon they would both connect. Now that dark shadow had taken, world seemed so forsaken. R.J. Lindley April 12th, 1976
