Catching Feelings
My world was in black and white and then meeting you was like color began to appear, the more we talked the more color started to appear in my day to day life. You made me feel everything all at once, with your charm and charisma. One night when we were talking I broke down and you were the first one there, you made me feel safe and protected. I finally felt like everything would be ok. I had someone who understood me and could take care of me. The more we talked the more I wanted to be closer to you, I didn't just want to be one of the guys anymore. While I appreciated the thought and acceptance, more than anything, I wanted you. No. I couldn't have you, you're just too good and there were all these complications. You also would never go for a girl like me, I'm nerdy, opinionated, sarcastic, and awkward as hell. No matter how much I tried to convince myself and everyone around me that there was no possible way I liked you, I was wrong. So I ended up telling you, expecting to get hurt and preparing for disappointment. I can't tell you how thrilled I was when the exact opposite happened. I smiled ear to ear and felt, and still feel like the luckiest girl in the world. So thank you, for loving me and accepting me for who I am, I know I'm not perfect but I promise to give you my all and try my very best.
