The Driver
Life is a long road, and our bodies are the cars we drive. We don’t know where the road might lead, but we know eventually our cars will malfunction and ware. We did not choose these cars, they were given to us. But too often I see cars breakdown because the driver was unaware of a problem, or the driver felt the road had been unfair. What that driver does not realize is that he or she is in control. And the driver must learn to let go of certain tolls Or the drive will be miserable. Thus, the driver will be unable to enjoy the simple things, the sun rising, the wind blowing... What the driver hopefully will come to realize is that this road is just a start where the driver can find the car’s strengths, weaknesses, and the drivers purpose. Eventually the driver will leave this road and start a new, where the driver is truly in control of the car and is not afraid to make a certain turn, get lost, and then start again and again and again. The driver’s road will not be straight, it will twist and turn, be bumpy and smooth. But the driver will know himself or herself, and leave a way for others to follow. It is with great hope that the driver will be able to accomplish this task, because it will change the world.
